The +GF+ Signet 3‑2850‑51‑40 is a Conductivity/Resistivity Sensor Electronics package supplied as an integral system with a K=0.1 cm⁻¹ PVDF electrode (Type 2840) and a ¾″ FNPT threaded junction‑box for standpipe, tank, or submersible mounting. Key parameters: conductivity range 0–1,000 µS/cm (factory span for K=0.1; overall platform covers 0.055 µS/cm–400,000 µS/cm / 18.2 MΩ–10 kΩ), accuracy ±2% of reading, update rate <600 ms, and a Digital (S³L) output that powers from and talks directly to a Signet 9900/9950 transmitter (measuring‑point extension up to 120 m / 400 ft) or into an 8900 multi‑parameter controller (up to 6 sensors). The enclosure is NEMA 4X / IP65, operating temperature –10 °C to +85 °C, with EasyCal™ for pushbutton field calibration using standard solutions.
Its core automation function is to deliver a stable, temperature‑compensated conductivity/resistivity signal into the control layer so the system can enforce water‑quality interlocks, RO/membrane‑performance monitoring, rinse‑cycle verification, demin/DI regeneration control, and cooling‑tower/boiler blowdown limits. Typical deployments include RO/DI/ultrapure‑water loops, pharmaceutical/electronics rinse monitoring, scrubber liquor tracking, and effluent discharge compliance where the K=0.1 range is the sweet spot for mid‑purity process water. Advantages are the all‑PVDF wetted electrode (broad chemical resistance), sealed NPT j‑box form factor (fast retrofit to existing standpipes), custom cell‑constant pre‑programmed at the factory, and S³L digital bus that eliminates analog drift over long cable runs—keeping the loop audit‑friendly and low‑maintenance.
