The +GF+ Signet 3‑2820‑1 is a conductivity/resistivity electrode from the 2819–2823 series built for continuous ionic-strength measurement in liquid process loops. Key parameters: cell constant K=0.1 cm⁻¹, range 1–1,000 µS/cm (≈0.5–500 ppm TDS), accuracy ±2% of reading, with a built‑in PT1000 for automatic temperature compensation and a 3‑wire foil‑shielded 4.6 m cable (extendable to 30 m). The 316SS electrode and ¾" NPT reversible thread allow inline or submersion mounting, with PP fitting rated 6.9 bar @ 100 °C (optional 316SS: 13.8 bar @ 120 °C). It interfaces directly to Signet 8850/8860/5800CR/8900/9900 platforms (typically via 2850 sensor electronics) for a conditioned 4–20 mA or digital (S³L) output to the PLC/DCS.
Its core automation function is to supply a stable, temperature‑compensated conductivity/resistivity signal so the control layer can enforce RO/DI quality interlocks, rinse‑cycle acceptance limits, regeneration trigger logic, and TDS/alarm logging without operator guesswork. Typical deployments include RO/DI make‑up, boiler condensate monitoring, rinse‑water recovery, and USP‑adjacent purified‑water loops where the K=0.1 sweet spot catches moderate ionic content that ultra‑pure (K=0.01) cells would miss. Advantages are the controlled electrode surface finish for repeatability, no platinization maintenance, reversible NPT design for fast retrofit into existing standpipes or tees, and optional NIST‑traceable certification for audit‑driven facilities — keeping water‑quality control both precise and low‑maintenance.
