The +GF+ Signet 3-2536-P1 is a Rotor-X™ paddlewheel (rotor) flow sensor designed for continuous liquid flow rate measurement in full-pipe, low-pressure systems. It features a polypropylene body, black PVDF rotor, and titanium pin shaft for broad chemical compatibility, configured as a standard mount for 5″–8″ (DN125–DN200) pipe via Signet tee/saddle/weldolet fittings. Key parameters: flow range 0.1–6 m/s (0.3–20 ft/s), ±1% FS linearity / ±0.5% FS repeatability, operating temperature up to 85 °C (185 °F), PP pressure rating 12.5 bar @ 20 °C, powered at 5–24 VDC drawing <20 mA. The sensor outputs a frequency-based open-collector NPN square-wave (15 Hz per ft/s) capable of transmission up to ~200 m / 1,000 ft without amplification, pairing seamlessly with Signet transmitters/controllers (8550, 5500, 5600, 5075, 8900, 9900).
Its core automation function is to provide a high-resolution, noise-immune frequency signal for real-time flow monitoring, pump protection interlocks, batch/dosing control, and totalization in PLC- or controller-based systems. Typical use cases include pure-water production, filtration & softener regeneration loops, chemical dosing/delivery, scrubber/gas-stack water circuits, gravity-feed lines, and general water/wastewater flow accountability. Advantages are the open-core rotor design (avoids cavitation and bubble-induced nonlinearity seen in solid paddles), minimal pressure drop, low maintenance, and chemical-resistant wetted materials that keep the loop running in aggressive media—provided the fluid is liquid only (not gas, not high-viscosity).
