The +GF+ Signet 3‑2551‑P2‑22 (PN 159 001 438) is an insertion‑style electromagnetic (magmeter) flow sensor supplied in the display version with relays, sized for DN250–DN900 (10–36 in.) pipes. Wetted parts are polypropylene with 316L SS electrodes/grounding ring (FKM O‑ring standard), giving broad chemical resistance with no moving parts, no pressure drop, and empty‑pipe detection. Key parameters: flow range 0.05–10 m/s (0.15–33 ft/s), linearity ±1% reading +0.1% FS, repeatability ±0.5%, minimum conductivity 20 µS/cm, and NEMA 4X / IP65 enclosure rated up to 10.3 bar @ 25°C / 85 °C media.
The sensor's core function is to deliver a loop‑powered 4–20 mA flow signal into a PLC/DCS/telemetry system while the local display manages two SPDT electromechanical relays + one solid‑state relay for pump/alarm/interlock control directly at the measurement point. It is widely deployed in water/wastewater mains, industrial water distribution, scrubber recirculation, neutralization systems, and chemical‑processing bulk‑liquid lines where the pipe is too large for full‑bore meters and the medium may carry some solids. Advantages include automatic alignment/insertion depth with Signet fittings, bi‑directional flow capability, and a sealed, maintenance‑light design that keeps the control loop honest even in dirty liquids.
