The Honeywell HIH-4030/4031 Series are Surface Mount Device (SMD) humidity sensors designed for high-volume OEM applications. These sensors offer a near-linear voltage output, enabling direct input to controllers and other devices. With a low current draw of typically 200 A, they are suitable for battery-operated systems. Tight sensor interchangeability minimizes OEM production calibration costs. The HIH-4030 is a covered integrated circuit humidity sensor, while the HIH-4031 is a covered, condensation-resistant version with a hydrophobic filter for use in condensing environments. Both utilize a laser-trimmed, thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element with integrated signal conditioning, providing excellent resistance to common environmental hazards. Available in tape and reel packaging for automated manufacturing.
