The GMH8310 is a semiconductor VOC sensor designed for detecting harmful gases in household environments. It is suitable for use as a sensing element in automatic ventilation devices, air purifier detection instruments, and range hood monitoring equipment. This sensor is highly sensitive to trace amounts of reducing gases, including ammonia, hydrogen, alcohol, carbon monoxide, methane, propane, glycan, styrene, propylene glycol, phenol, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, formaldehyde, and other volatile organic compounds, as well as smoke and oil fumes.

Usage Precautions
Connect the circuit as per the diagram, with f,f as heater electrodes and AB as measurement electrodes.
Do not apply high voltage, as it can damage the sensor or alter its performance.
Avoid prolonged exposure to volatile silicone compounds (e.g., hairspray, silicone sealants, putty) as they can coat the sensitive material and lead to sensor failure.
Prevent contact with water or liquids, which can cause the sensitive material to detach, leading to performance changes or failure.
Do not use in highly corrosive environments (e.g., containing hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, strong alkalis, or alkali metal salts), as this can degrade the sensitive material and corrode electrodes, damaging the sensor.
Avoid use in extreme environments such as high gas concentrations, high humidity, high temperatures, or high pollution for extended periods, as this can affect sensor performance.
Avoid strong vibrations and impacts (e.g., during transportation or from drops), which can cause sensor electrode breakage or damage.
For soldering, manual soldering is recommended with a temperature 250 and duration below 3 seconds. For machine soldering (e.g., wave soldering), use flux with low chlorine content, a speed of 1-2 m/min, a temperature of 25010, and ensure a single pass. If possible, apply a film to the sensor's mesh cap to prevent strong odors from altering performance.
