The MagnTek MT6816 is a zero-latency magnetic angle position sensor IC utilizing advanced AMR technology for 0-360 full-range angle sensing. It offers high resolution with a 14-bit core and supports maximum rotation speeds of 25,000 RPM, featuring an output propagation delay of less than 2 s. Designed for industrial environments, it operates within a -40 to 125 temperature range. The MT6816 provides versatile output interfaces including ABZ, UVW, PWM, and SPI, with user-programmable incremental ABZ resolution (1-1024 Pulses per Revolution) and UVW output resolution (1-16 Pole-Pairs per Revolution). Its SOP-8 package makes it suitable for applications such as absolute angle position sensing, BLDC motor control, servo motor control, stepping motor control, and as an optical encoder replacement.
