The AS5270 is a dual-die, high-resolution angular position sensor for precise absolute angle measurement. It is available with an analog output interface (AS5270A) or a digital output interface (AS5270B), which can be programmed as PWM or SENT-compliant. Utilizing Hall sensor technology, it measures the orthogonal component of flux density (Bz) over a full-turn rotation and compensates for external magnetic fields with a 14-bit sensor array and analog front-end. A sub-range can be programmed for optimal resolution. Requires a simple two-pole magnet rotating over the device center. The AS5270 operates at a 5V supply voltage with overvoltage protection up to +20V and reverse polarity protection up to 20V on supply pins. The AS5270A offers high-reliability redundant operation with two independently pinned chips in the same package.
