The AS5601 is a 12-bit programmable contactless magnetic rotary position sensor offering incremental quadrature (A/B) and digital outputs. It features a PUSH output for detecting fast airgap changes, enabling a contactless pushbutton function. Designed for robust performance in various environments, it rejects external stray magnetic fields and utilizes planar Hall sensor technology. The industry-standard IC interface allows for user programming of non-volatile parameters, and a smart low-power mode reduces consumption. Applications include encoder replacement, contactless rotary knobs with push buttons, and other angular position measurement solutions.
