It is particularly optimized for detecting hydrogen and methane in air, with a detection range of 0 to 100% by volume. The sensor operates on the principle of heat loss from a sensing element to the surrounding atmosphere, making it ideal for applications requiring sensitive gas detection, especially in battery-powered devices due to its low power consumption and small size. It is highly resistant to mechanical shocks and exhibits a low orientation effect.
