The HEDS-9040 and HEDS-9140 are three-channel optical incremental encoder modules designed to detect rotary position when used with a codewheel. These low-cost modules offer high performance with a highly collimated light source and a unique photodetector array. They provide two-channel quadrature outputs with an index pulse, suitable for high-volume applications requiring sophisticated motion control detection.
