The VCNL3030X01 is a fully integrated proximity sensor with an infrared emitter and an I2C interface, designed for efficient power saving in microcontrollers. It combines photodiodes, amplifiers, and analog-to-digital converting circuits on a single chip. The sensor offers a programmable interrupt function with adjustable high and low thresholds, intelligent cross-talk cancellation, and a smart persistence scheme to reduce response time. Its immunity to red glow and selectable 12-/16-bit output data make it suitable for various applications.
