The Honeywell HG1120 is an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) designed for industrial applications such as agricultural vehicles, robotics, survey, mapping, and stabilized systems. It measures angular rates, linear accelerations, and magnetic fields in a body-mounted, strap-down configuration. The IMU provides compensated incremental angle and velocity data for navigation, as well as angular rates and linear accelerations for control. It utilizes MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers, along with necessary electronics and software for precision control and navigation. The input axes form a right-handed frame aligned with the IMU mounting frame. This No License Required (NLR) IMU is suitable for air, land, and sea applications, leveraging Honeywell's long-standing expertise in gyro production since the 1940s and MEMS technology since the early 2000s.
