The TLE4998S8(D) is a high-performance programmable single/dual linear Hall sensor designed for highly accurate angle and position detection. It integrates two individual linear Hall sensor ICs with a digital SENT output signal (SAE J2716), featuring 20-bit digital signal processing, digital temperature and stress compensation, and 16-bit overall resolution. The device offers minimal drift over temperature and lifetime, with programmable parameters stored in EEPROM with single-bit error correction. It is suitable for automotive and industrial applications requiring the highest accuracy, acting as a robust replacement for potentiometers due to its resistance to mechanical abrasion, humidity, temperature, pollution, and vibration. Key applications include pedal position, throttle position, and steering torque sensing.
