The Honeywell SNG-Q Series Quadrature Speed and Direction Sensors are engineered to deliver both speed and direction information. Speed is outputted as digital square waves, while direction is determined by a quadrature output with two signals phase-shifted by 90. This design allows for precise determination of target direction based on the lead/lag phase shift of the output signals. These sensors offer enhanced reliability with an IP69K rating, EMC radiated immunity, O-ring seal, and a wide operating temperature range, leading to improved equipment uptime and reduced service costs. Their cost-competitive design, utilizing a platform-based approach, ensures mechanical and electrical configurability. Dual differential Hall-effect sensor IC technology provides enhanced accuracy for detecting small target features. The wide operating temperature range, robust electrical noise immunity, and enhanced environmental sealing offer application flexibility.
