The AEDR-8000 Encoder series utilizes reflective technology for rotary and linear motion control. It offers a direct replacement for the HEDR-8000 series with identical footprints and height profiles, simplifying migration. The encoder integrates an LED light source and photo-detecting circuitry in a single surface mount leadless package. It provides single-channel incremental and two-channel quadrature outputs for direction sensing, compatible with most signal processing circuitries. The series is designed for high-volume applications where space and weight are critical, making it ideal for printers, copiers, card readers, and various consumer products.
