Operating Precautions
Detects variations in infrared rays; may not detect lack of movement or temperature change.
Can detect heat sources other than human bodies (small animals, sunlight, strong light beams, HVAC wind, humidifier vapor).
Detection may be difficult through glass/acrylic, or with non-movement/quick movements.
Detection range may widen with significant temperature differences.
Occasional unnecessary detection signals may occur due to the nature of the pyro-electric element.
Optimal operating conditions: Temperature (-20 to +60C), Humidity (15-85% Rh, avoid condensation/freezing), Pressure (86-106kPa).
Not waterproof or dustproof; avoid excessive moisture, condensation, frost, salt air, or dust.
Avoid environments with corrosive gases.
Soldering: Max 350C for 3 seconds, hand soldering recommended.
Mount on a printed circuit board for stability.
Do not wash the sensor with liquids.
Avoid using sensors that have fallen on the ground.
Sensitive to static electricity (200V); avoid direct hand contact with pins.
Use shielded cables and minimize wiring length to prevent noise.
Use of surge absorption elements is highly recommended.
Use a stabilized power supply; power supply noise can cause errors.
Operating errors can be caused by various noise sources (static electricity, lightning, cell phones, etc.).
Keep the lens clean for optimal detection performance.
The lens is made of soft material; avoid adding weight or impacts.
Operating temperature and humidity are suggested for longevity but do not guarantee durability.
Do not clean with detergents or solvents like benzene or alcohol.
