Description

The Decanter Centrifuge for Nickel Cobalt Manganese Hydroxide Slurry Dewatering is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation, NCM precursor recovery, slurry thickening, and process-liquid clarification.

It is suitable for NCM hydroxide precipitation slurry, washing slurry, classification overflow, off-spec material recovery, and battery-material wastewater treatment.

The centrifuge separates nickel cobalt manganese hydroxide particles and other suspended solids from the liquid phase. Corrosion-resistant materials, wear protection, and contamination-control configurations can be selected according to the process conditions.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works

1. NCM Hydroxide Slurry Feeding

The slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.

An agitated tank helps prevent particle settling and maintains a stable feed concentration.

2. Centrifugal Sedimentation

High-speed rotation separates NCM hydroxide particles from the liquid phase.

The denser solids move outward and form a layer against the bowl wall, while clarified liquid remains closer to the center.

3. Continuous Solids Conveying

The internal screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed.

It continuously transports settled solids toward the conical end for further dewatering.

4. Clarified Liquid Discharge

The separated liquid leaves through the liquid outlet.

It can be returned to the process, sent to polishing filtration, or transferred to further wastewater treatment.

5. Thickened NCM Solids Discharge

Concentrated NCM hydroxide solids are discharged continuously.

The recovered solids can be sent to washing, filter pressing, drying, reprocessing, or storage.
