The Decanter Centrifuge for Pigment Slurry Dewatering is designed for continuous pigment recovery, slurry thickening, wash-water clarification, and filter-press feed preparation.
It is suitable for titanium dioxide, iron oxide, carbon black, inorganic pigments, mineral pigments, and compatible organic pigment slurries.
Many pigment particles are fine and remain suspended for long periods.
Higher centrifugal force, stable feeding, and optional coagulation or flocculation may improve recovery.
Dispersants, wetting agents, and surfactants can reduce particle settling.
The slurry chemistry should be tested before confirming the separation process.
Different pigment colors should normally be collected and treated separately when recovered solids will be reused.
Dedicated pipelines, flushing connections, and cleaning procedures help reduce cross-contamination.
Titanium dioxide, iron oxide, carbon black, and organic pigments have different densities and settling behavior.
Bowl speed, differential speed, pond depth, and feed rate should be adjusted for each material.
Mineral pigments and fillers may cause wear, while acidic or alkaline liquids may require corrosion-resistant wetted parts.

Pigment slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.
An agitated tank prevents pigment settling and maintains a stable feed concentration.
High-speed rotation separates pigment particles and suspended solids from the liquid phase.
The denser solids move outward and form a layer against the bowl wall.
The internal screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed.
It transports settled pigment solids toward the conical end for further thickening.
The separated liquid leaves through the liquid outlet.
It can be recycled, sent to polishing filtration, or transferred to further wastewater treatment.
Concentrated pigment solids are discharged continuously.
