The Decanter Centrifuge for Mica Slurry Recovery is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation, mica fines recovery, slurry thickening, and process-water clarification.
It is suitable for mica powder processing, mica washing, mineral beneficiation, grinding and classification slurry, flotation tailings, and mica-containing wastewater. The centrifuge separates fine mica particles from the liquid phase and produces thickened mica solids for further filtration, drying, storage, or reuse. Clarified liquid can be recycled to washing, grinding, classification, or wastewater treatment.

Peony can provide:
Mica slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.
An agitated slurry tank is normally recommended upstream to prevent settling and maintain stable feed concentration.
Inside the high-speed rotating bowl, centrifugal force separates mica solids from the liquid phase.
Mica particles move outward and form a solids layer against the bowl wall, while clarified liquid remains closer to the center.
The internal screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed relative to the bowl.
This movement transports settled mica solids toward the conical end for continuous discharge.
The separated liquid leaves through the liquid outlet.
It can be returned to washing, grinding, classification, process-water recycle, or further wastewater treatment.
The concentrated mica solids are discharged continuously from the solids outlet.
Recovered mica slurry can be transferred to a filter press, vacuum filter, dryer, storage tank, or further classification process.

The decanter is suitable for fines, suspended plastic particles, sludge, labels, fibers, and mixed contaminants. Large flakes and film pieces should usually be screened or mechanically dewatered before entering the decanter.
Plastic washing slurry may contain sand, glass fines, or mineral particles. Wear protection is recommended when abrasive solids are present.
Polymer can improve recovery of fine suspended solids, but dosage should be tested to avoid excessive chemical use or negative effects on water recycle.
For direct reuse in sensitive washing stages, additional polishing filtration or treatment may be required after decanter separation.
The decanter provides continuous thickening and primary dewatering. A filter press or dryer may be added where lower final moisture is required.
