For low suction pressure or high-vacuum conditions, Sunstrand offers a high-performance inducer option. Combined with our 18 years of CFD experience, this inducer effectively reduces the Net Positive Suction Head required (NPSH3) by more than 50%, preventing performance loss due to cavitation.

By using an integral gearbox for single-stage high-speed operation, the LMV311 achieves the same head that would require multiple stages in a conventional pump. This results in a footprint reduction of over 50% and significantly fewer wearing parts (e.g., bearings and seals), leading to lower maintenance costs.
Reliability comes from our 18 years of manufacturing expertise. We apply precision dynamic balancing to the high-speed rotor train and use heavy-duty bearings compliant with API 610. Furthermore, every pump undergoes full vibration spectrum analysis prior to shipment, ensuring vibration levels well below industry standards at rated speed.
The LMV311 is primarily designed for clean fluids. However, for special services, Sunstrand offers multiple hardened material options (e.g., tungsten carbide coating) and special mechanical seal flush plans (e.g., API Plan 32 or 53). We recommend providing the fluid composition during selection. Our engineers will match the best solution based on our 20,000-unit delivery database.
We offer a dedicated inducer option. By optimizing the pressure distribution at the impeller eye, the NPSHr can be reduced to a very low level, effectively preventing cavitation and extending pump life.
