Application
ABC cable is a very innovative concept for overhead power distribution as compared to the conventional bare conductor overhead distribution system.
It provides higher level of safety and reliability, lower power losses and ultimate system economy by reducing installation, maintenance and operative cost.
Caledonian LV Aerial Bundle Cables are designed to supply 600/1000 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, as a service drop (power pole to service entrance), as a secondary cable (pole to pole) or street lighting.
This over-head cable provides reinforced insulation acc. IEC 61140 and fulfill therefore Class II acc. IEC 61140. It is not flame retardant. But this could be if requested change to a flame retardant cable.

Application
The 1kv triplex ABC Cable is widely used in 0.6/1kV power distribution lines. Consisting of several insulated cores, aerial bundle conductor cable has already been developed in several countries across the globe and promises to be cheaper, safer, more reliable, require less tree clearing and pruning, be more aesthetic, be less labor intensive, require less maintenance and eliminate bushfires being initiated by conductor clashing.

2 Core insulation (XPLE black, UV-resistant, not flame retardant); 2 up to 4 cores of equal cross section are stranded together in left-hand lay, additionally 1 or 2 cores of reduced cross section can be co-stranded
Application
Can be used for fixed installation as overhead power lines up to 1.000 V incl.
Not suitable for direct burial.
