With its multi-variable gain tuning algorithm, the Logix 520MD can easily carry out large step changes with minimal overshoot and respond with high precision to even the smallest of step changes.
The Auto-tune procedure is another key feature of the Logix 520MD positioner. This intuitive function cycles the actuator to deliver a measured response and then selects values for gain that improve and optimize its performance. Additionally, the Auto-tune function includes a gain modifier selector, which allows the user to manipulate the calculated gain and adjust it up or down to achieve the best possible performance.
One of the most significant aspects of the Logix 520MD is its simplicity of operation, thanks in part to its easy DIP switch configuration for tuning mode and other vital settings. For custom settings, the device can be adapted to suit a broad range of actuator sizes and types, with tuning sets modified by using a handheld or ValveSight™ software.
Facilitating the commissioning process with a fast and simple configuration is effortless with our product. Furthermore, our product offers self-calibration and auto-tune capabilities, with an adjustable gain selector. In addition, the HART communication system conforms to industry standards.
