Product Description:

The role of positioners in valve positioning is to guarantee a pre-determined assignment of the valve position (controlled variable x) to the input signal (reference variable w). Essentially, they act as an intermediary between the control valve and the control system. The positioners receive an input signal from the control system, which they compare to the travel of the control valve. To ensure accurate positioning, the positioner issues a corresponding output signal pressure pst (output variable y).

Additionally, a reversing amplifier is utilized for double-acting actuators which produces two opposed signal pressures. This ensures that the positioner can properly regulate the position of the valve in both directions of movement.
