The Samson 3277 actuator uses pneumatic pressure applied to a flexible diaphragm to generate linear force. This force moves the actuator stem, which in turn adjusts the valve plug position. When air pressure is removed, the internal spring returns the actuator to its fail-safe position, ensuring safe operation during air supply failure.
When combined with a valve positioner, the actuator achieves precise positioning and fast response to control signals.
