This particular Automax actuator (3841 series, double-acting, with solenoid and limit switches) is the one you see bolted on thousands of quarter-turn valves in chemical plants, water treatment facilities and oil terminals. It’s double-acting for fast operation both ways, the solenoid gives direct air control, and the limit switch box tells the DCS when it’s open or closed. Guys like it because it’s built heavy, the springs don’t break like cheap ones, and you can get parts next day from any Flowserve stock point.
