Common Problems

1. Positioner does not respond to analog commands – check the 4-20 mA loop for continuity, verify that the source can supply at least 3.9 mA, and confirm that the terminal voltage meets the required compliance voltage of 10.0 VDC at 20 mA.

2. Valve does not stroke with setpoint change – verify pneumatic connections and supply pressure; confirm that the correct input signal is reaching the instrument and that calibration has been completed.

3. Local status LED not functioning – check power supply and verify that the terminal connections are secure.

4. Auto Tune fails to complete – check actuator travel, supply pressure, and that the magnetic feedback is properly positioned; verify there is no mechanical binding.
