Product Overview

The AUMA SA Series Multi-Turn Electric Actuator Package is a complete valve automation system that combines the SA multi-turn actuator with integral actuator controls (AM or AC series) in a single pre-assembled, factory-tested unit. It is supplied as a coordinated package to shorten commissioning time and eliminate the need to separately match actuator, control unit, feedback components, and electrical interfaces. The package centers on a rugged worm gear drive with torque output from 10 Nm to 32,000 Nm and output speeds from 4 rpm to 180 rpm, driven by 3-phase AC, 1-phase AC, or DC motors depending on configuration. Limit and torque sensing are integrated, and local operation is possible through a handwheel for manual override. The actuator can be combined with controls ranging from simple OPEN-CLOSE units to micro-controlled versions with fieldbus interface and operating data logging.

The housing is rated IP67 as standard with IP68 available as an option, providing protection against dust, water ingress, and temporary immersion. The operating ambient temperature range is -30°C to +70°C, making the package suitable for outdoor, washdown, and demanding industrial environments. Corrosion protection meets KS class requirements for high-resistance applications. Available control options include AM series for basic open-close applications and AC series for advanced diagnostics, fieldbus communication (Profibus, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus), and asset management integration.
