Product Overview
This complete valve system integrates the AUMA SA Series multi-turn electric actuator with a gate or globe valve, delivering dependable open-close and positioning performance. The actuator handles torque from 10 Nm up to 32,000 Nm and runs on a 3-phase AC, 1-phase AC, or DC motor. Limit and torque switches give accurate end-position feedback. A handwheel enables manual operation when required.
SA-type actuators for open-close duty carry Class A and B ratings or short-time duty S2 – 15 min. An optional S2 – 30 min version is available for longer running periods. The actuator pairs with various controls, from basic OPEN-CLOSE units to micro-controlled versions featuring operating data logging or fieldbus interface. The IP68 enclosure per EN 60529 provides high-quality corrosion protection (KS) and works within -30°C to +70°C. Output drive types conform to DIN and ISO standards.

Application Industry

Common Problems
No reaction to operation commands: Confirm the reaction time setting. Check for mechanical blockage or power supply issues.
Torque fault in OPEN or CLOSE direction: Inspect the valve for obstruction. Verify torque switch settings. Excessive valve friction may also trigger this fault.
Mechanical position indicator cannot be set: The reduction gearing may not match the actuator's turns/stroke. Replace it with a suitable reduction gearing.
Actuator runs to end stop although limit switches work properly: Review limit switch settings and end position configuration.
Motor winding temperature too high: Check whether the actuator sizing matches the application. Confirm the duty cycle is correct.
