Product Overview
The Fisher DVC6200 is a FIELDVUE digital valve controller that communicates over HART. It takes a two-wire 4-20 mA signal and converts it into a pneumatic output to operate a valve actuator. The unit is built to replace analog positioners on most pneumatic actuators without adapter parts. A magnetic position sensor works without contact, so there is no linkage to wear out. The sealed electronics module tolerates high vibration, temperature changes, and dirty plant air.

Application Industry
The DVC6200 is used in refining, chemical, nuclear, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, food and beverage, water and wastewater, pharmaceutical, and metals and mining. It controls flow, pressure, temperature, and level loops.
Common Problems
Instrument will not communicate: Check power supply, terminal voltage (should be 9–32 VDC), and wiring connectors on the printed wiring board.
Valve does not stroke from 0 to 100%: Verify pneumatic connections and supply pressure; check that function block is in the correct mode.
I/P converter output out of spec: May indicate a defective module base seal, defective relay, or a faulty 67CFR regulator.
Replacement Models
The DVC6200 retrofits existing analog positioner installations. It is a common upgrade from older DVC2000 units. For other brands, verify mounting, travel range, and communication protocol before ordering.
