Product Overview
The Fisher DVC2000 is a compact, microprocessor-based digital valve controller that uses HART communication. It receives a 4-20 mA input signal and converts it into a pneumatic output to drive a single-acting actuator. The unit mounts directly to the actuator yoke, simplifying installation.
The linkage-less feedback system uses magnetic sensing — no parts rub together, extending cycle life. A local user interface with a multilingual LCD allows configuration, calibration, and tuning at the valve. The two-stage positioner design provides fast response to small input changes for tighter process control. The instrument continuously self-diagnoses; if a fault occurs, an alert symbol appears on the screen.

Application Industry
The DVC2000 is used in chemical, oil and gas, refining, pulp and paper, power, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical plants. It controls flow, pressure, temperature, and level loops. Its compact size and simple setup suit standard control valves with short strokes and routine procedures.
Common Problems
Instrument will not communicate: Check available voltage. Confirm terminal voltage is within 9–32 VDC and inspect wiring connectors on the printed wiring board.
Flash ROM Fail: Restart the instrument. If the failure does not clear, replace the printed wiring board assembly.
Valve does not respond to control signals: Check pneumatic connections and supply pressure. Verify function block is in the correct mode.
Display shows alert symbol ⚠️: The DVC2000 self-diagnoses continuously. Check the alert record, which stores up to 20 alerts from Valve Alerts or Failure Alerts groups.
