Palmitoyl tripeptide-1, also known as Matrixyl 3000 or palmitoyl oligopeptide in Chinese, and containing Matrixyl 3000 in English, has the CAS number 147732-56-7 and a molecular weight of 578.80 g/mol. This substance is a white powdery cosmetic raw material with a purity ≥98% and should be stored at 2℃～8℃. As an extracellular matrix-derived peptide, it enhances skin firmness by promoting the synthesis of collagen and glycosaminoglycans in the dermis.
Stimulates Collagen and Elastin Synthesis: Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 activates skin fibroblasts, significantly upregulating the gene expression of type I, III, and IV collagen and elastin. It promotes continuous regeneration of the extracellular matrix by blocking the inhibitory effect of transforming growth factor-β receptor.
