The railroad threaded spike is a special type of spike used to fix railroad rails. Its main feature is that the surface of the spike is threaded. This design allows it to more tightly fix the connection between the rail and the sleeper, with stronger pull-out resistance and anti-loosening ability.
The biggest difference between the railroad threaded spike and the ordinary spike is that it has threads on its surface. These threads are usually machined on the body of the spike to enhance the stability of the spike during installation. The main part of the spike has a spiral thread, and the depth and number of threads vary according to the design requirements of the spike, usually to ensure that the spike can be firmly fixed in the sleeper. Like ordinary spikes, the head of the threaded spike is usually larger, which can increase the contact area with the sleeper, thereby dispersing the pressure. The thread can increase the friction between the spike and the sleeper, prevent the spike from loosening during use, and provide a stronger fixing force.
