A1: A watertight door is designed to maintain a watertight subdivision boundary under an approved design head and may be subject to damage-stability, operating, indication and testing requirements. A weathertight door is intended to prevent water penetration from weather exposure and is not automatically suitable for a pressure-retaining watertight bulkhead.
