Product Overview

This compact hydraulic anchor windlass is a single-gypsy deck machine for anchor handling on small vessels, workboats, barges, and other installations where deck space is limited. Hydraulic Drive, Brake & Installation Advantages

• Hydraulic drive provides high starting torque and smooth low-speed control for anchor handling; the motor and reduction ratio are selected around the required chain pull and hoisting speed rather than a single pressure / flow value for the whole series.
• The single-gypsy layout reduces machinery width and is suitable where one anchor chain is handled at the windlass station. Gypsy profile, pocket count, and chain engagement must match the specified anchor chain.
• A declutchable gypsy and mechanical brake allow the cable lifter to be disengaged from the drive and the chain to be controlled during paying out or holding, subject to the approved operating arrangement.
• Brake sizing must be coordinated with the chain stopper. With a separate chain stopper, the windlass brake reference is lower than for a no-stopper arrangement; this difference also affects bedplate and deck-foundation loads.
• The warping head can support auxiliary rope handling during deck operations. If a defined mooring-winch duty or rated mooring line pull is required, that function should be specified separately and checked against the applicable mooring-winch requirements.

A1: No. The 12.5–30 mm figure is the series range. The gypsy / cable lifter is selected for a specific anchor-chain diameter, grade, and link geometry. For replacement projects, chain dimensions or a chain sample / drawing should be checked before confirming the gypsy.
