Welded Flipper Delta HHP Anchor for Offshore Mooring Systems | 300–27,500 kg
Product Overview
The welded Flipper Delta high holding power anchor is supplied for offshore mooring, dredging, mooring buoy, and floating-structure projects where seabed penetration, holding efficiency, anchor-chain connection, transport handling, and project certification are central selection factors. Its open fabricated geometry combines a broad fluke assembly, shank, and stabilizing structure to support controlled setting and penetration into suitable seabed soils.
This page covers nominal anchor weights from 300 to 27,500 kg using dimensions A–F from the supplied catalogue data. Nominal anchor weight is not a direct holding-capacity rating. Final selection should be based on the project mooring analysis, required holding load, seabed or geotechnical data, mooring-line angle, installation method, anchor-chain and shackle interface, approved manufacturer drawing, and the required class or third-party inspection scope. The product is supplied through qualified anchor factory partners; manufacturing source and certificate scope are confirmed for each order.

Offshore Mooring Selection & Inquiry Guide
Step 1: Confirm the application: offshore unit, dredger, mooring buoy, construction spread, floating structure, temporary mooring, or permanent mooring, together with water depth and intended service life.
Step 2: Provide the required anchor holding load from the project mooring analysis, including design load case, safety factors, pretension, mooring-line type, and environmental basis where available.
Step 3: Provide seabed or geotechnical information, including soil type, layer profile, strength or density data, seabed slope, and known obstructions, because penetration and holding performance are soil-dependent.
Step 4: Confirm nominal anchor weight, approved anchor geometry, fluke-to-shank setting, anchor-handling method, chain grade and diameter, end link, shackle, swivel, and required connection dimensions.
Step 5: Confirm material grade, fabrication standard, welding procedure, NDT scope, dimensional tolerance, marking, traceability, corrosion protection, and whether transport disassembly or an anchor rack is required.
Step 6: Confirm approval and test scope before quotation: approved drawing, HHP or other class designation, proof test, material certificates, maker certificate, surveyor witness, and final documentation package.
Step 7: Provide quantity, project or vessel name, delivery destination, required delivery date, packing restrictions, lifting and handling limitations, and the relevant mooring or GA drawing.
Anchor Construction & Connection
Welded open fluke assembly | Central shank | Crown / hinge and stabilizing geometry | Chain or shackle connection point | Project-specific fluke setting | Optional transport-disassembly arrangement | Protective coating

How It Works
Anchor is deployed with the flukes oriented toward the seabed → A controlled setting pull stabilizes and rotates the anchor into the penetration direction → Open fluke geometry enters the soil → Embedded fluke area mobilizes seabed resistance → Mooring load transfers through the shank and connector into the anchor chain → Retrieval follows the approved anchor-handling procedure
Applications
Offshore temporary mooring systems | Dredgers and marine construction spreads | Mooring buoys | Floating pontoons and marine structures | Offshore units subject to project design | Anchor-and-chain replacement packages
Certifications & Supply Scope
Classification inspection and certification can be arranged according to the approved type or project design, manufacturer approval, material traceability, proof-test requirement, and surveyor attendance. Availability is subject to order confirmation and class approval; all listed certificates are not supplied automatically.
Certification: CCS, NK, BV, ABS, DNV, LR, KR, IRS, RS, RINA, CRS, Makers Test Certificate.
Optional coordinated supply scope may include anchor chain, anchor D-shackle or project connector, swivel / forerunner, anchor rack, test certificates, packing plan, and transport arrangement, subject to confirmed specifications.

FAQ
Q1: How should the correct Flipper Delta anchor weight be selected?
A1: Use the required holding load from the mooring analysis together with seabed data, line angle, installation method, anchor geometry, and project safety factors. Nominal anchor weight is only one selection input and should not be treated as the guaranteed holding capacity.
Q2: Does the HHP description provide a universal holding-power value?
A2: No. HHP is an anchor design or approval category, not a single kN rating that applies to every seabed and installation. The offered design, approved test basis, soil conditions, penetration, and class requirements must be confirmed for the project.
Q3: Can the anchor and anchor chain be supplied as a matched package?
A3: Yes, the supply can be coordinated when chain diameter and grade, total length, end links, shackles, swivels, proof-test and certificate scope, corrosion protection, packing, and delivery requirements are provided. The anchor connection drawing must be checked before final quotation.
