Product Overview
The JIS F 2031 roller pawl type anchor chain stopper is a deck-welded cable stopper used in the anchor chain line between the anchor windlass / cable lifter and the hawse pipe or chain pipe arrangement. It is designed to hold the anchor chain against anchor-related tension and to reduce the holding load transmitted back to the windlass after the anchor chain is secured.
This roller pawl type is intended for large anchor chain diameters from 70 mm to 132 mm. The roller supports chain guidance during operation, while the pawl mechanism is used for chain holding according to the vessel’s anchoring procedure. Selection should be confirmed together with chain diameter, chain grade, windlass arrangement, left-hand / right-hand operation, deck foundation, weld detail, load class, and classification requirement.
