Casting Steel Large Double Bitt Bollard ASTM A27-70-36 Ship Mooring Equipment
Description
Casting steel large double bitt bollard is made of material ASTM A27-70-36 or equivalent and has 12” and 14” with or without horns. Additional stiffeners being added in the middle of base which provide higher safe working load and better strength. The surface of the single bitt bollard is smooth and free from burs which may cut the mooring rope. All the radius and section changing area is smoothly curved for better performance to avoid stress concentration. Casting steel has been heat treated before delivery with good mechanical property and surface quality. Dye penetration test or Magmatic examination will be carried out as required for free of sub-surface defects. We can also satisfy clients’ needs for X-Ray test in the way of the critical area where the force concentrates at the bitt bollard.
