The 15KN manual release hook is an "On-Load" disengaging mechanism designed for releasing life rafts and rescue boats. It is intended to be operated (opened) when the boat is lowered into the water, regardless of whether there is a load applied by the movement of the ship or sea. The life raft releasing mechanism has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 15kN,
All component of the 15KN rescue boat manual release hook is engineered for long-term durability under challenging marine conditions and manufactured in compliance with the latest SOLAS regulations. They undergo testing according to the LSA (Life-Saving Appliance) code and carry the WHEELMARK certification.

The Hook Installation Procedure, (See Diagram)
Unscrew the positioning nail on the Meta nut (No.10).
Remove the Meta nut (No.10).
Shift the overhead shaft (serial number 9).
Remove the hanging ear (serial number 8).
Place the hanging ear (serial number 8) into the hook ring, then reinstall the shaft (serial number 9).
Tighten the nut (serial number 10) and the positioning screw.
Use And Operation Instructions (See Figure).
Move the fork handle (No.13) to position the hook (No.1).
Dial the fork handle (No.13) downward through the loose push rod (serial number 18) until it reaches the linked insurance position. Insert the insurance device (No.17) into the safety hole.
Pull the torsion spring (No.6) on the hook (No.1) to lift heavy loads.
To uncouple, first remove the safety device (No.17) from the safety hole. Then move the flexible push rod (No.18) upward to disengage the fork handle (No.13), allowing the load to be released freely from the hook (No.1).
Maintenance And Repair Instructions
Regularly check the hook after use (every three months) and lubricate the active parts with Synthetic Lithium Base Grease (SY141380).
Clean the hook's appearance with sewing machine oil. After cleaning, apply clean sewing machine oil to extend the service life.
During inspections, if the release action is not smooth or if parts show signs of wear or bending, replace the affected parts.
Qualified technical personnel must operate the release hook and conduct load tests at 1.1 times the load capacity before use.
