Lubekote 9165C is a high-performance, water-based sealer release agent specifically engineered for the rubber industry. As a specialized sealer release agent, Lubekote 9165C addresses two critical needs simultaneously: it acts as an effective mold release and seals the mold surface to prevent defects. For optimal results, begin with a meticulously cleaned mold. Shake or stir the product thoroughly before use. Apply a single, thin, uniform coat to the mold surface using spray or cloth. Allow the water carrier to evaporate completely before initiating the molding cycle. Reapplication is only necessary after several successful demolding cycles.
For industrial use only. Avoid prolonged skin contact and use appropriate personal protective equipment. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Do not allow the product to freeze, and store in a cool, dry place to maintain efficacy throughout its 12-month shelf life.
Unlike standard release agents, it combines two functions: creating a release film to prevent sticking and simultaneously sealing the mold surface. This sealing action prevents air from being trapped and stops knit lines from forming, ensuring a perfect surface finish.
It is highly effective for natural rubber, EPDM, acrylic ester, and vinyl acrylate rubber. It is also specifically recommended for difficult-to-demold compounds such as fluororubber (FKM) and HNBR.
As a high-performance semi-permanent release agent, Lubekote 9165C is designed to provide multiple release cycles per application. The exact number depends on specific mold geometry, rubber compound, and curing conditions.
It is ready to use straight from the container. For some applications, particularly for achieving an ultra-thin film, it can be diluted with 1-3 parts deionized water.
The water-based formula contains no solvents or VOCs, making it safer for operators, better for the environment, reducing fire hazard, and helping factories meet strict regulatory standards.
