Main feature of platinum silicone:

4. Low shrinkage rate (≤ 0.1%), capable of rapid curing at room temperature, and performance can be adjusted according to customer requirements.
5.Wide Temperature Range: Capable of long-term operation across a broad temperature range of -60°C to +260°C.
6.It can be cured at room temperature or by heating.
Special Caution: "Platinum Poisoning"
This constitutes the most sensitive "weak point" of platinum-based systems. Platinum catalysts are extremely susceptible to degradation and deactivation by certain chemical substances, resulting in the adhesive failing to cure—or curing incompletely. This phenomenon is known as "platinum poisoning."
Common sources of poisoning include:
Substances containing nitrogen, phosphorus, or sulfur (e.g., certain amines or sulfides)
Heavy metal ions (e.g., lead, tin, mercury, arsenic, copper, etc.)
Condensation-cure silicone: As its curing agent contains tin, these two materials must absolutely never be mixed.
Application of platinum silicone:
This 5 Shore A platinum-cure liquid silicone is an exceptionally soft, addition-curing silicone rubber. Its primary applications can be broadly categorized into two main areas: first, the creation of intricate or irregularly shaped molds that require effortless demolding; and second, the direct casting of silicone products where extreme softness and tactile sensitivity are paramount.
It is safe for use in the production of chocolates, candies, fondant cake decorations, ice cubes, jellies, and similar items.
Thanks to its excellent release properties and chemical resistance, it is ideally suited for casting alkaline materials—such as soaps and candles—and is capable of faithfully reproducing the intricate surface details of the mold.
