Product Overview for silicone potting compound:

The RTV 2 Addition Potting Compound HN-8820A/B is a two-component, low viscosity organic silicone. It has an excellent thermal conductivity and good fluidity, with a 1:1 mixed ratio. It can cure at room temperature or with heat .It is mainly used for potting protection of general electronic components, power modules and circuit boards etc

Combining excellent heat dissipation capabilities with superior thermal stability (ranging from -50°C to 200°C) and comprehensive "three-proof" protection, these compounds are primarily utilized in electronic components characterized by high power output, significant heat generation, and operation within harsh environments.
Examples include: 1. New Energy Vehicles (EV/HEV); 2. High-power power supplies and transformers; 3. Consumer electronics and home appliances; 4. Industrial automation and aerospace/defense systems.
 
Currently, the primary high-growth application scenario involves power battery packs (PACKs): thermal interface materials are dispensed between individual battery cells—or between the cells and the bottom of the battery housing—to rapidly dissipate the heat generated during charging and discharging, thereby preventing thermal runaway. On-Board Chargers (OBCs) and DC-DC Converters: High-power conversion generates significant heat, necessitating the use of gap-filling compounds with a thermal conductivity of 2.0 W/m·K to facilitate effective heat dissipation. Drive Motor Controllers (Inverters): These applications require materials that protect internal power modules (such as IGBTs and SiC components) while simultaneously enabling rapid heat dissipation.
