These flat or L-shaped copper bars feature holes at each end for bolting to adjacent components. Engineered for demanding applications, they must carry 300A continuous current, withstand 500A short-circuit surges for 3 seconds without melting, survive 10 years of daily thermal cycling from 25°C to 65°C, and maintain cost-effectiveness at volume production.
The engineering precision lies in the cross-section calculation. For 300A continuous current in C11000 copper (101% IACS), a minimum cross-sectional area of approximately 70mm² is required to stay within temperature rise limits. We machine these critical components from C11000 ETP copper plate, maintaining dimensional consistency with length tolerances of ±0.1mm, hole position accuracy of ±0.1mm, and contact face flatness within 0.1mm to ensure consistent contact pressure and low resistance across all links in the rack.
