MBR Membrane Biological Reactor for waste water treatment
MBR principle:
MBR (Membrane Biological Reactor), is a new waste water treatment equipment combining advantages of UF system and biological reactor. Activated sludge and microorganism in it will absorb and resolve organic pollutant in waste water, leave pure water. UF membrane is to separate water and mud, can replace second setting pond. Meanwhile, membrane keeps activated sludge microorganism in biological reactor for long time, make a high biological concentration which means high oxygenation efficiency of microorganism to organics.
Applications:
It can be used for municipal sewage and industrial waste water treatment and substitute for secondary sedimentation tank in removing suspended particles, so as to increase nitrogen removal rate and organics degradation rate.
Youber hollow fiber MBR membrane module can be widely used in various waste water processes with high BOD and suspended solids content, including the following:

Advantage of MBR:
1. High quality output water
It doesn’t need other solid liquid separation equipment as membrane has already removed SS and colloid, output water can be reused without further treatment.
2. Small space
High biological concentration in reactor improved the volume, high efficiency of membrane reduces the water residence time, reduce its cover space. Besides, as MBR do not need setting pond and specialized workshop, it’s about 60% of traditional solution on size.
3. Low operating cost
MBR reduces the running time and power consumption of aeration device, save much money. And using membrane to remove germs, do not need additional sterilize chemical and flocculant and other chemicals, lower the operating cost.
MBR classification:
MBR contains membrane and biological reactor, difference on the combination mode and their own character make different MBR system. From membrane character, MBR are divided into internal pressure and external pressure type. Internal pressure means water permeate from membrane inside to outside, and external pressure just the reverse. In practical projects, external pressure type is more popular because internal pressure type is to easy to the blocked, water treatment effect is not well.
Technology content:
Membrane Bioreactor combines membrane technology and biochemical reaction technology, through filtration and spoil disposal, to increase the concentration of the microorganism, enhancing the biochemical efficiency greatly, and degrading sewage.
The technical characteristics of MBR membrane and MBR system:
(1) High mechanical strength, the membrane fibers are not easy to break off in the process of high strength aeration and chemical cleaning;
(2) Good chemical stability, it can be washed using the strong acid and alkali;
(3) It can effectively reduce COD, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, etc. The water output can reach municipal sewage reuse water standard;
(4) The suspend solid of feed water can reach up to 8000MG/L;
(5) High equipment integration degree, compact structure, small occupation space, no need civil work pool, short construction period, transportation, installation and debugging is simple;
(6) The equipment can be customized; the MBR integration equipment is acceptable from 10 to 6 TPD.

Reinforced PVDF material hollow fiber MBR membrane Features:
1. YB-RMBR series membrane and module have below features:
(1) High water pressure resistance
Compared with the common PVDF reinforced MBR membrane, YB-RMBR membrane has higher pressure resistance, able to withstand long-term backwash operation without damage and have longer service life, under the specified operating conditions.
(2) Not easy to damage, easier to clean
YB-RMBR membrane has strong surface scratch resistance, harder to damage than the common PVDF reinforced membrane on the market, cleaning process can be used a certain pressure water gun cleaning, cleaning more convenient. In the process of cleaning, a certain pressure water gun can be used for cleaning, cleaning is more convenient.
YB-RMBR membrane adopts hydrophilic PVDF modified alloy as the main filter material, and the surface structure of the filter layer is dense, so that all kinds of impurities can only stay on the surface of the filter membrane and can not enter the filter layer. It is easy to wash during cleaning, and the flux recovery ability is high after cleaning.
(3) Large flux, good hydrophilicity, strong anti-pollution ability
YB-RMBR adopts hydrophilic PVDF modified alloy as the main filter material, after hydrophilic treatment and anti-fouling modification, the flux and anti-pollution ability of the PVDF membrane are improved while increasing the bond strength between the PVDF membrane and the reinforced material. the flux and service life of the YB-RMBR membrane are in the leading level in the industry. The flux of the YB-RMBR membrane increased by 3~5 times compared the MBR membrane made of PP material.
(4) High filtering accuracy and good interception
At present, most of the membranes used for sewage treatment in the market are microfiltration membranes. The YB-RMBR membrane is an asymmetric membrane, which is composed of a uniform, thin, dense outer layer and a supporting sponge inner layer. The inner layer structure is stable and the surface layer has high filtration accuracy. It can filter out fine dust, rust, yeast cells, large size bacteria, colloid and other impurities, and the water output is balanced, and the water quality reaches the first class A discharge standard stipulated in the GB18918-2002.
(5) High strength fibers and long service life
YB-RMBR membrane adopts the high strength support technology, the tensile strength and compressive strength of the product are much higher than that of similar products, and the tensile strength is more than 120 MPa, It is suitable for curtain sewage treatment modules, not broken in the process of use, the service life is 2~3 times longer than PP material.
YB-RMBR membrane module can be modular design, compact structure, small area, complete size and specifications, and can better replace the traditional process.
