The test equipment conforms to the standard requirements of IEC 60898-1:2015 Electrical accessories-Circuit-breakers for overcurrent protection for household and similar installations-Part 1: Circuit-breakers for a.c.operation.
The test operates by using a motor-driven cam mechanism to lift the mounting plate holding the circuit breaker, which is then released to fall freely onto a metal stop plate equipped with a coil spring (elastic coefficient: 25N/mm) to absorb the impact. This process is repeated 50 times in succession. The sample is then rotated 90 degrees using a rotary platform, and the procedure is repeated in each of the remaining three orientations, completing a total of 200 impact cycles to fully assess mechanical durability.
