Product Overview:
The Anti-Inverted Siphon Test Device is designed in accordance with IEC 60335-1, clause 22.48.
It is used to evaluate the anti-siphonage performance of water inlet valves for household and similar electrical appliances, such as washing machines, that are intended to be connected to the water mains.
Application:
This equipment simulates vacuum conditions in the water supply pipeline to determine whether siphoning occurs within the water inlet valve under test. It is suitable for laboratories, certification bodies, and manufacturers conducting compliance and safety verification tests.
Working Principle:
The device generates a controlled vacuum using a vacuum pump to replicate negative pressure conditions in the water supply system.
A transparent safety container is installed between the test sample and the vacuum pump to collect any water drawn in during a failed siphon test. This design effectively protects the vacuum pump from water ingress and potential damage, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
