CSA C22.2 No. 149 Clause 6.14 Electric Toy Live Part Enclosure Flammability Test Chamber
This device is manufactured according to the standard of CSA C22.2 No. 149-1972 Electrically operated toys, Clause 6.14. It is mainly used for flammability performance testing of live part enclosures of household electric toys with rated voltage of 120V and below (including ultra-low voltage). The equipment features stable structure and precise control, meeting the flammability testing requirements for toy safety.

Test Method (CSA C22.2 No. 149-1972)
1. Specimen Requirements
Specimens shall be made of the same material as the product enclosure
Thickness shall not exceed the minimum thickness of the enclosure
Length and width shall be no less than 8 inches respectively
3 specimens per test group
2. Test Environment
Conducted indoors without air disturbance
Specimens are vertically fixed in the test shield, with the maximum test surface kept vertical; flame acts on the outer surface
3. Flame Adjustment
When the burner is vertical, adjust the total flame height to 5 inches (127mm)
Internal blue cone height: 1.5 inches (38mm)
4. Flame Application Position
Burner inclined at 20°
Blue cone tip aligned 3 inches above the lower end of the specimen
Or aligned with the center of the test side width and the lower 1/3 height position
Flame vertical plane perpendicular to the specimen test surface
5. Test Procedure
Apply flame 5 times, 15 seconds each time
Interval between two flame applications: no less than 15 seconds
Terminate the test immediately if the specimen burns continuously for more than 30 seconds
6. Acceptance Criteria
Drippings from the specimen stop burning after falling at least 6 inches
Continuous burning of the specimen does not exceed 30 seconds within 1 minute after the first four flame applications and the fifth flame application
After the fifth flame application, the specimen has no holes or damage, and does not affect product safety requirements
Safety Precautions
The equipment must be used in a well-ventilated environment free of flammable materials.
Regularly inspect the gas pipeline to prevent leakage.
Do not approach the flame area during the test to avoid scalding.
Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble or modify the equipment without authorization.
Turn off the gas and power supply after use, and clean the equipment after cooling.
