Testing Procedure
Secure the test sample firmly to ensure that the edge cannot move or bend during the test
Apply overlapping gummed paper with a total thickness not exceeding 0.1 inch
Position the tester so that the angle between the mandrel and the edge of the sample is 90° ± 5°
Select the sharpest accessible edge of the sample as the testing position
Adjust the applied force to 1.35 lbs
After testing, measure the length of the cut on the tape using a ruler. If the cut length exceeds 0.5 inch, the edge is considered sharp and hazardous
