| High Light | Household Appliance Unintentional Touch Test Tool ,IEC60335‑2‑3 Unintentional Touch Test Tool | ||
This Unintentional Touch Test Tool, also known as the Simulated Hand Test Gauge, is a standardized test probe engineered strictly to IEC 60335‑2‑3 Clause 22.13 and Figure 102. Fabricated from aluminum material, this special test fixture reproduces the geometry of a human hand, designed to identify components beside appliance handles that users may accidentally touch during daily operation.
Many household electrical appliances are fitted with handles for grip and operation. When operators hold or grab these handles, unintended contact with nearby live-risk components creates critical electrical-safety hazards. This simulated hand probe simulates real-world hand-gripping scenarios, locating accessible dangerous zones within 13 mm from the handle bottom. Cooperated with a feeler gauge, it judges whether dangerous parts can be touched unintentionally, helping labs and manufacturers validate product safety against IEC household-appliance safety requirements.
This simulated‑hand test fixture is widely adopted in household‑appliance safety inspection, R&D verification, and IEC‑standard product certification.
It is used to detect parts adjacent to appliance handles which could be touched by accident. The probe checks hazardous areas within 13 mm below the handle bottom. Operators insert the simulated‑hand gauge into handle openings, run inspection with a feeler gauge following Figure 104 / Figure 105 procedures. If the handle‑underside profile blocks simultaneous contact of point A and B, perform testing with single‑point contact respectively as required.
This test identifies potential unintended‑touch risks, helps optimize product handle structural design, avoids hidden electric‑shock hazards, and ensures end‑user safety for mass‑produced household appliances.
