Product Overview
The IEC 60884-1 Cord Anchorage Torque Test Device is developed to evaluate the mechanical strength and durability of cord anchorage systems used in plugs, socket-outlets, appliance couplers and electrical accessories. Working Principle
The equipment applies a specified torque to the flexible cable through a calibrated lever arm and standard weights. During the test, the specimen is securely clamped while the prescribed torque is maintained for the required duration. After testing, the cable sheath, anchorage structure and conductor position are inspected for movement, deformation or damage in accordance with IEC acceptance criteria. The testing method ensures consistent evaluation of cord anchorage reliability under twisting forces.
